POEM FOR NIGERIA
BEHOLD! OUR FATHER.
lo! Our father!
The beauty of the gulf of Guinea
Crafted on the soil of Africa
Far away from Sahara's heat
But fanned by the Atlantic's cool breeze and painted in one colour,
Tuned in diverse tongues and heritages;
Boardered on the north by "mountain's grandeurs"
On the south by "deepest earth's wealth"
On the East by "surpassing evergreen splendour "
And on the west by "banks of nature's unending waters ----
And we are his offspring.
Lo! Our father!
Each year he get older,
The cracks on the wall get bolder
With littered unclouded bulges in his yesteryears.
A life woven in minger.
Oh! Our father,
Your broken steps lingers still,
But worst still,
The present steps have fallen apart --- in impunity,
Hypocrisy have savaged the master's mace.
Oh! My father!
Please tell me,
Is this race accursed with these prodigates
Are these curses from the gods you disdained?
Aborn with cruel baton behind this pledge loyalty?
For Lo, they're greedily wielded the glories of
Thine unborn into their strange appetites,
And have unhinderedly clinched these infant
Head in brutality ---
Please tell me, whose child are they?
Oh! My father,
They said "I will be a leader of tomorrow"
But their treads are sordidly disillusionment
And Lo,
Every street is drunk with the blood of the
"Future lords"
Inspired by the insatiable appetites of these yesteryears obstinate domineers,
Rending songs of gongs from our hearts
As sounds of guns bewent
Soiling the lap that gave us suck with the
Blood from her own womb,
Alack, father!
The beauty of our dear mother is gone
Because her monsters-king betrothed her
Deceit.
Dear father,
Lest this ink fade away like the souls of the
Stillborn lords,
Please father,
Forbade them from bidding this heartfelt
Clamor to their hate speech tables,
But, if they'll submit to afterthink
And affirm the Salvation they've sworn to
grace thy bowels with;
We'll rise, AND SHINE, AGAIN,
and your MAGNIFICENT shall be heard, again!
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY MAY A NEW DAWN RISE OVER NIGERIA .
I planned to post video today and speak on the need for the federal government to start up AJAOKUTA STELL COMPANY IN KOGI STATE AND HOW IT WILL GIVE MILLIONS OF JOB TO NIGERIAN BUT I COULDN'T BECAUSE I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH MY PHONE.
